Recycling Centres

At the four recycling centres in the Municipality of Randers you can deposit waste which is not household waste or unhygienic waste.

At the recycling centres you have to sort your own waste and deposit it in the correct containers according to pictograms and/or staff instructions. It is entirely up to you, which of the four recycling centres, you choose to use.

There is only access to the recycling centres for vehicles below 3.500 kg. Car trailers are allowed. Scavenging on the sites is prohibited and you must follow staff instructions. You are required by law to use only clear bin bags.

What Can You Get Rid of?

The short answer is 30 different kinds of waste. Check out the guide What Goes Where When You Recycle to ensure you use the right container.

Only Clear Bin Sacks!

'Why?', you may ask. Because that's the law is the short answer. And it makes sense too, because research shows that you are more likely to sort your waste properly, if the contents of the bags are visible. You are of course welcome to empty your clear bin sacks into the right container and then take them home to reuse them.

Bank Holidays

All four recycling centres are closed on the following days:

January 1st
24th, 25th, 26th and 31st of December
On other bank holidays, the recycling centres are open, if it falls on a day, when they would normally be open, if it wasn't a bank holiday, but with reduced opening hours from 10.00 to 16.00.

Too Good To Throw Away?

If you have items that you yourself do not wish to keep, but that are too good to throw away, you can leave them at our charity shops GenBrugen (Randers Recycling Centre) or at Langå IgenBrug (Langå Recycling Centre). If you are in doubt then just ask our staff. They will be happy to help.
